Slow progress is better than no progress✍️

This audio reminded me of how we all move forward/improve at our own pace. Fast or not, improvement is the goal.

I thought this little reel was a good example for the audio. I have been working on a series of portraits since 2021. My goal at the start was 100 in a year. I’m now in 2023 and still working toward that goal. To me this feels very slow. BUT I am in the 80s and it’s very important to not get discouraged and to trust the process no matter what 🙏

Wheel of Time fans! I'm excited to share a new post of my stunning print of 'The Eye of the World' - a piece inspired by one of the most iconic scenes from the book. This piece depicts Rand Al'Thor standing before a stonework pattern. In the tv series this pattern is said to be cuendillar. A change among many between the book and the show. However, as I've maintained, I think Josha Stradowski is a great Rand and doing his best to work with what he's been given to work with. I created this piece to capture the spirit of the events in the book as well as the show, evoking the mystery and power of the story's fantastical world. Here is my latest portrait. I created this based on a portrait that was AI generated from a render of Geralt from the Witcher games.

I’ve reevaluated my latest portrait run. I’m excluding a few of the more “study” pieces that are not quite finished enough and counting this as 82/100.

@thecorridorcrew created a YouTube video a year ago where they used ai to turn “cartoon” characters into real photos.

Thought it would be fun to reverse engineer that AI generated human into a digital painting on my iPad. Similar process to how I create all my Fanart paintings.
